The
Gazetteer
of the Communities, Churches, and Cemeteries of Washington County created
by the Society's Historic Records Preservation Group.
The
Society is pleased to make available to family historians,
researchers, and genealogists this edition of the Gazetteer of the
communities, churches, and cemeteries of Washington County from 1840 to
2001. These sites are of
particular interest to those doing a family history. This gazetteer is
also a directory to the newly re-organized church and cemetery files of
the Research Center. Anyone interested in the history of Washington County will find
this gazetteer of helpful interest. This
is the most complete documentation of the subjects ever produced for the
county. Though not a history of each subject it will offer you an equal
interest and enthusiasm to find more information about them. The gazetteer
is available at the gift shop for only $20.

This
is the Society’s
best selling and national award-winning cookbook. The book is both a
compilation of recipes and a book of special moments of local history.
Recipes have been collected from families and their ancestors. Most
recipes are from many years ago, making ingredient quantities of the
original recipe approximate and in most cases mixing instructions are
non-existent. The recipes in the cookbook are good, simple, and tasty that
have been tried and tested in the kitchens of our earliest homemakers.

Was Framed: Watercolor Print for Sale
A specially commissioned watercolor by respected Wisconsin artist
David Hackett includes 19 historical and well-known landmarks of
Washington County. The prints, 32 by 20 inches and 16 by 10inches
w ill be sold for $50 and $25. The prints are only available at the
Treasurer’s
Vault Gift Shop. A special thanks goes to Serigraph, Inc. for donating
their printing services for the 1000 limited edition prints and to M&I
Bank for underwriting the original watercolor.
