The new Freedom Memorial will be constructed on the Washington County Veterans Plaza on the Old Courthouse Museum grounds.

It will join the other Veterans Memorials already on the plaza, the Doughboy erected in 1927 and the World War II, Korean, Vietnam Memorial erected in 1998.

The names of everyone who contribute to this memorial will be included in a time capsule that will be placed inside the memorial.

This Memorial is dedicated to the men and women who have given their lives in the defense of their Country since 1975.

The donations will be used to erect the new Memorial and to landscape the Plaza. These donations will also be used to illuminate the Plaza and all of the Memorials. Funding from the donations will also be used to provide perpetual care of the Memorial and the Plaza.

The Freedom Memorial Will Honor All Washington County Men and Women Who Served in The Armed Forces of the United States and Who Gave the Supreme Sacrifice.

All donations to this project are tax deductible. We thank you for your contributions to this noble cause.
