FIRE MAKES HISTORY
On June 25, 1910, fire raged through the town of Allenton. In less than three hours 41 buildings were destroyed with an estimated damage cost of $150,000. It is believed that the fire started at J.P. Ruplinger & Co. store. Allenton, Slinger, Kohlsville, St. Lawrence, and Fond du Lac fire departments arrived on the scene to help, but it was too late.
